A small historic community in Crawford County, where the old courthouse still stands and the properties run to acres.
Knoxville is a small place in Crawford County west of Macon, and an old one — it was the county seat long before Roberta took the role, and the old courthouse and a scattering of nineteenth-century buildings are still there. Around it the county is farm, timber and rural homesteads on rolling ground.
Historic buildings and very old trees tend to come together, and both need care. Hardwoods planted alongside houses built in the 1800s are now enormous, structurally complicated and usually decaying somewhere on the inside where nothing shows from outside. A removal near a structure that old is sectional, careful work — older framing takes an impact far worse than modern construction does.

"JC and his crew did a great job getting the massive tree that fell during the storm. They were very helpful and worked hard to make sure myself and my neighbor were happy with the end results, and all of my property — trailers and fence — that were buried by the tree were protected while they worked. Will use JC's Tree Service again!"

What property owners around Knoxville ask us most.
Yes, and it's the sort of job worth planning. Nothing gets felled — the tree comes down in small sections with anything over the structure lowered on a rope. Old framing and old roofs are far less forgiving of impact than modern construction, so the pieces stay small and the work goes slowly.
Sometimes. Reducing weight on heavy limbs and taking out dead material can buy real time on a tree worth keeping. If the trunk is substantially decayed, that's a different answer. JC will tell you which one you've got.
About thirty-five minutes from Macon, and Crawford County is inside our regular working area.
Yes — brush, understory, fence lines and lots being opened back up are all normal jobs around Knoxville.
